I’m Rebecca, an artist and creative facilitator based in Cambridge. For over 15 years I have been paying my bills by making and teaching art, but it has been something that has given me my greatest joys and adventures since childhood.
After graduating from Goldsmiths University and years working behind the scenes in theatre, I retrained to launch my own creative business called Betty Etiquette. I designed a range of calligraphy and floral stationery products and prints that were stocked in stores across the UK including Liberty and Selfridges. I gained extensive experience as a lettering artist and written two intro to lettering books, Modern Lettering and Brush Lettering both published by Batsford. These have been sold across the world and I have been lucky enough to teach creative workshops for fantastic venues including The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Lowry, Selfridges, Hampton Court Palace, Cass Art, London Graphics, Jackson’s Art and Affordable Art Fair.
In the past few years I have focussed on developing my own artwork in my studio and producing creative workshops and events. I now work with schools, community groups and museums to devise and run creative workshops around project themes, creating collaborative artwork that can displayed in their venues or take home on the day.
You can also find me at corporate events using my artwork to support brand activation, involve guests in a workshop or create bespoke onsite lettering or illustration. Or at my desk creating content for brands for a range of social channels and blogs. C
